Today, we celebrate a major milestone in our journey towards a sustainable and climate-resilient Africa. It has been three years since the launch of Climate Communications and Local Governance-Africa (CCLG-Africa), and we are proud of the progress we have made.
Over the past three years, CCLG-Africa has worked tirelessly to promote climate action and sustainable development at the local level. We have engaged with local governments, communities, and stakeholders to raise awareness about climate change and support the implementation of climate-resilient agendas.
We have achieved significant milestones, including:
- Establishing a network of climate communicators in parts of Africa
- Supporting the development of climate-resilient plans and policies
- Participating in international, national, and local activities to increase understanding
- Promoting climate education and awareness among lawmakers
As we celebrate this anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Africa’s transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient future. We will continue to work with our partners and stakeholders to address the climate crisis, promote sustainable development, provide effective communication strategies, and increase public information on climate change.
We are currently working on several educational activities, including:
- Women in Climate Action
- Climate Brigade
- Climate Diplomacy and Governance
- Climate Vacation
Thank you to our team, partners, and supporters for your dedication and hard work. Here’s to many more years of climate action and sustainable development in Africa.
