Climate Communications and Local Governance (CCLG-Africa)

OUR HISTORY
CCLG-Africa was founded in December 2019 and officially incorporated under the Companies Act (Act 992) in January 2023, following the Second African Climate Change Summit. The summit was organized by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, the Climate Chance Association-France, and the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG). This summit highlighted critical gaps in climate change communication, awareness, and education at the local level in Africa. To address this, a network of communicators and experts was formed to spread knowledge, build capacity, and drive grassroots action on climate and environmental issues. This marked the birth of CCLG-Africa.
